Specification of Project

Opened in August, 2017, the Mercedes-Benz Stadium is situated immediately adjacent to the Georgia Dome, which it has replaced.

At a final projected cost of $1.5 billion, this state-of-the-art retractable roof stadium is home to the NFL’s Atlanta Falcons. It also hosts the MLS Atlanta United FC. BevStream Corp. is particularly proud of its involvement in this momentous project and is thrilled to include it in its extensive project portfolio.

Designed by the architectural firm HOK, the stadium features a multi-panel “pinwheel” shaped retractable roof that rotates like the aperture of a camera to create a large circular opening, said to have been inspired by the Roman Pantheon. It seats between 71,000 and 75,000 fans for Football and Soccer Events and hosted Super Bowl LIII in February 2019.

BevStream was originally chosen to design, furnish and install the Bulk CO2 System for the project. This included the many Bulk CO2 tanks, equipment and extensive piping network throughout all levels of the stadium. From the outdoor tank farm, looping the entire first Level and extending up into each level above, BevStream went right to work.

When it was determined that the initial vendor chosen for the Beer and Soda Piping Systems did not have the resources or capabilities to complete the project as required, BevStream was called upon to step in and assist in the proper completion of that portion of the project. We were proud to have been chosen for the completion of that scope to keep the project on schedule.
