Specification of Project
Comparable in size to the nearby Atlantis Paradise Island Resort, the four billion dollar Baha Mar includes four hotels, 2,200 rooms, a convention center, a golf course, and a state-of-the-art casino on over 400 hectares on the white Bahamian sand. Our team was trusted with designing and installing all of the Beverage Piping Systems and the Bulk CO2 System to provide beer, soda and liquor throughout the entire property.
One of the biggest challenges we faced during this particular project was transporting the necessary materials, tools and equipment to the construction site. All materials were first sent to the Port of Miami where they were then placed in multiple shipping containers. The containers were then shipped to Nassau where they stayed for several days while clearing customs. Our team then set up an on-site material yard at the project facility and trucked materials from the yard to their proper staging areas for installation.
BevStream coordinated housing rentals for all of our employees during this project and worked with local government entities to obtain appropriate permits and work visas for the duration of the installation.
Working under a tight construction schedule and managing dozens of design changes along the way, our team engineered, shipped and installed over 15,000 ft. of Beverage Piping and over 20,000 ft. of CO2 lines. Additionally, BevStream’s team was contracted to install all of the Beer Systems throughout the building.
This job required BevStream to coordinate across multiple teams and governmental agencies to deliver materials, complete the installation, and meet local safety codes — all on a strict timetable. We were proud to be a part of such a complex, exciting project, and the resort’s opening in Spring 2017.
