Specification of Project

Officially opened with a ribbon-cutting ceremony on July 22, 2016, the U.S. Bank Stadium is a cutting-edge entertainment venue in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Located on the footprint of the former Hubert H. Humphrey Metrodome, the new billion-dollar home of the Minnesota Vikings is a welcome addition to BevStream’s extensive project portfolio.

Designed by noted architecture and design firm HKS, the fixed-roof stadium seats 66,665 and expands to accommodate 73,000 guests for special events. Often compared to Philip Johnson’s celebrated Crystal Cathedral, the structure’s transparent roof systems, walls, and oversized doors were constructed to preserve maximum views and natural light while still offering protection from outside elements.

Gaining immediate notoriety, the Stadium was host to Super Bowl LII in February of 2018, the ESPN X Games in 2017, 2018, and again in 2019, and the 2019 NCAA Final Four and Championship Games.

Our team of designers and technical experts worked in collaboration with the general contracting company Mortenson Construction to completely outfit the new venue with over 25,000 feet of Beverage Piping and new Bulk CO2 management equipment. This reliable system efficiently supplies soda, beer, wine, frozen drinks, water and CO2 throughout the entire venue.

Beginning with initial design and layout, BevStream’s specialists developed the custom beverage support network from start to finish. Bevstream’s team was also contracted to install all of the Beer Systems throughout the building.
